Ela remete os nossos h\u00e1bitos alimentares para os de quando os primeiros homens eram ca\u00e7adores-coletores e estavam totalmente conectados \u00e0 natureza. Outros especialistas preferem cham\u00e1-la de \u201cnutri\u00e7\u00e3o evolutiva\u201d para ir mais al\u00e9m do conceito \u201cpaleo\u201d. Foi um conceito lan\u00e7ado pelo seu impulsor, o\u00a0Dr. Loren Cordain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">O que \u00e9 a dieta Paleo?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Este regime alimentar assenta numa elevada ingest\u00e3o de prote\u00edna animal. No caso do gado, tem de ser proveniente de pastagem. Ao mesmo tempo, defende um baixo consumo de hidratos de carbono e de s\u00f3dio, uma ingest\u00e3o de moderada a elevada de gorduras mono e polinsaturadas, e uma procura de equil\u00edbrio na absor\u00e7\u00e3o de \u00f3megas 3 e 6 e na rela\u00e7\u00e3o acidez\/alcalinidade do organismo. Com o consumo de carne e peixe \u2013 sobretudo atum, sardinha ou bacalhau \u2013 favorecidos, a ingest\u00e3o di\u00e1ria de prote\u00edna animal \u00e9 elevada. Assim, para que haja um equil\u00edbrio entre alimentos \u00e1cidos e alcalinos, \u00e9 necess\u00e1rio compensar com mais frutas e vegetais.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Esta dieta remete para uma Era anterior \u00e0 agricultura \u2013 anterior ao cultivo de qualquer tipo de cereais. Assim, o p\u00e3o e as farinhas est\u00e3o abolidos deste tipo de alimenta\u00e7\u00e3o. Os hidratos de carbono s\u00e3o obtidos atrav\u00e9s do consumo de frutas e vegetais, que podem ser consumidos sem limites. Estes s\u00e3o tamb\u00e9m respons\u00e1veis pelo fornecimento de c\u00e1lcio, j\u00e1 que os lactic\u00ednios tamb\u00e9m n\u00e3o constam do menu paleo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ao contr\u00e1rio de outras dietas, o regime paleo \u00e9 favor\u00e1vel \u00e0 ingest\u00e3o de gorduras. Segundo este conceito, as gorduras insaturadas contribuem para a redu\u00e7\u00e3o do LDL (o chamado \u201cmau colesterol\u201d) e para o aumento do HDL (ou \u201cbom colesterol\u201d).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"614\" height=\"408\" src=\"https:\/\/www.sintrasaude.pt\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/image.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-6662\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.sintrasaude.pt\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/image.jpeg 614w, https:\/\/www.sintrasaude.pt\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/image-300x199.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/www.sintrasaude.pt\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/image-18x12.jpeg 18w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 614px) 100vw, 614px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Vantagens da dieta paleo<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Como em todos os regimes restritivos, h\u00e1 vantagens e desvantagens em seguir uma dieta alimentar \u201cpaleol\u00edtica\u201d. Pela positiva, este tipo de alimenta\u00e7\u00e3o destaca-se por ser rico em fibras, prote\u00ednas, vitaminas, minerais e antioxidantes. Inclui uma grande quantidade de \u00f3leos polinsaturados, ricos em \u00f3mega 3 e recomenda-se o baixo consumo de sal. Tamb\u00e9m pela total exclus\u00e3o de alimentos processados e hidratos de carbono, poder\u00e1 favorecer a manuten\u00e7\u00e3o do peso saud\u00e1vel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Desvantagens da dieta paleo<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As desvantagens prendem-se com o cansa\u00e7o que a aus\u00eancia de hidratos de carbono pode provocar, com a monotonia alimentar (quatro dos sete grupos da roda dos alimentos est\u00e3o ausentes) e com a dificuldade na sua adapta\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e0 vida moderna. Mesmo os praticantes regulares de exerc\u00edcio f\u00edsico n\u00e3o gastam diariamente tanta energia como o homem do paleol\u00edtico.\u00a0Assim, a pr\u00e1tica do desporto e um m\u00ednimo de oito horas de sono di\u00e1rias s\u00e3o recomendadas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Agora que conhece os pr\u00f3s e os contras da \u201cnutri\u00e7\u00e3o evolutiva\u201d, j\u00e1 disp\u00f5e dos elementos suficientes para formar a sua pr\u00f3pria opini\u00e3o e saber se ela se poder\u00e1 adequar a\u00a0si.
